At Countrywide Environmental Services we carry out surveys to the HSE’s MDHS 100 document, to enable your business to comply with the new regulations.

We provide 3 different types of surveys

Type 1: Location assessment survey (Presumptive Survey) Non intrusive visual survey.

Type 2: Sampling identification & assessment survey (Sampling survey)

Type 3: Fully intrusive survey pre-demolition / refurbishment. Full access & identification survey.

In addition to these types of survey report we also provide a sampling service for a client that doesn’t need a full survey, but wants to know if a specific component or material contains asbestos. Often the results are needed quickly and in order to offer a responsive service we work closely with a UKAS accredited laboratory to analyse samples promptly.

Examples of our clients who use this service are:

1. Social housing providers 

Local Authorities and Housing Associations are always under pressure to keep void periods to a minimum and turn repairs around fast. Sometimes a particular material or component may be suspected of containing asbestos and long delays in analysis may be costly in terms of lost rent and inconvenient and unsettling for the tenant.

 

2. Commercial property managers / owners

Sometimes essential repairs are required to equipment or components, which may be encapsulated or enclosed with an asbestos containing material. A quick response is needed in order to progress the repair.

 

3. Builders carrying out refurbishment work

Contract delays are often expensive and down-time costs soon mount up. A fast analysis service helps to reduce delays and keeps the contact running smoothly.
